How to Plan a Family Reunion

By Kristy Annely Planning takes thoughtfulness and effort. And planning a family reunion is no exception! Just as if you were throwing a party for friends, you will want to make sure there is plenty to eat and drink, and some fu activities planned for the entire time. A family reunion is a memorable event that everyone looks forward to. It brings your family and relatives together, so it is of the utmost importance that it is planned properly to make it fun. Family reunions should be planned on a theme of common interest to which everyone in the family can relate. Chose a theme like family ancestry, and then share personal experiences and photographs. While organizing the family reunion, don't think that you alone can do everything. Instead, delegate responsibilities to others. This gives other family members a feel of ownership, gets everyone to interact, makes everyone feel important, and makes the reunion an unforgettable event. Forgetting all differences and completing tasks together, such as representing the same team in a game, creates a sense of togetherness. For complete satisfaction, at the end of the reunion, it is important that the reunion is completely planned and structured. Plan details like which place to go, when to go, and how long the reunion lasts. Important decisions and limitations should be discussed prior to the reunion, because everyone has a different lifestyle and their own way of living. You should avoid any conflicts during the reunion, which may hamper the fun and excitement of the reunion. When the Teacher Becomes the Student

By Joe Martin A relationship expert once said that during an argument, theres usually three sides to every story: his side, her side, and of course, the truth. This is something we must definitely keep in mind as teachers. As educators (especially professors), we have been accused of having the biggest egos on this side of Mount Rushmore. One of the quickest ways to burn out in education is to refuse to embrace change. Whether we want to admit it or not, life moves and changes constantly. Students are constantly exposed to material we once never dreamed existed. Ironically, although students are exposed to more, they typically know less and are less mature than the generations before. However, that does not discredit the fact that students still bring a unique perspective to our classroom; its through their eyes that we can become better teachers. One of my best strategies for maintaining a high level of motivation in the classroom came as a result of a technique I learned as a stockbroker and sales trainer. Rule #1 in sales is that in order to bring the customer to where you are (your level of understanding), you must first go to where they are (theyre current level of understanding). In simple terms, you must know your customer (in this case, your student). This simple principle recharges and rejuvenates my batteries every semester; because the more I know, the more I grow. Relating this concept to the education arena, you must simply and clearly define your objectives and what you would like to see happen over the course of a semester (or even a brief interaction) with a student, and then you help your students to do the same. In other words, know where YOU want to go, help them find out where THEY want to go, and then come up with a strategy for both of you to get there. In negotiating terms, they call this a win-win solution. Obviously, this strategy can only work if you value the student, and you believe he or she can make you a better teacher. For instance, during my first three years in education, I quickly realized that what I wanted and what students believe they needed were diametrically opposed to each other. However, after many personal talks with former students, I soon discovered that students werent as concerned with the subject matter itself as they were with how the subject matter was being taught. They were more concerned with my attitude than the answers I would give them. This was a revelation. I came to the conclusion that, like a parent, my experience and education dictated that I was qualified to teach them what they needed to know to succeed. However, when it came to how they received the information, I was totally at their mercy. Because, regardless of how good or important the subject matter is, if no one is listening, then no one is learning. It was at that point that I decided to go to where they were in order to bring them to where I was. I met individually and collectively with students to get their perspectives on the class. I asked them about what worked in class and what didnt? I asked them about what they would like to see more or less of? What would they like to see changed (about myself and/or the class)? I asked them if whether or not they would recommend this class to another student, why or why not? I asked them what would make the class more productive and more interesting? These questions can be asked in almost any work environment, for almost any department, not just in the classroom. I asked similar questions of my clients when I was in Corporate America. All of the input I received, except for the individual meetings, were done anonymously. I cant begin to tell you how important this information has been to my career. But in less than a year after implementing this idea, I was nominated twice for the distinguished teaching award at my school (the youngest ever nominated). If you want to become a more productive educator in or outside of the classroom, the key is student input you must seek it. They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again, but expecting different results. If you listen to and solicit feedback from your students, you wont have to repeat the mistakes of the past. So value your students and their input; trust me, they hold the keys to your success. Cordless Phone Headsets

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alison_Cole]Alison Cole When buying cordless phone headsets, you must first take into consideration the comfort factor. It doesn't really matter the brand you choose and what feature it has -- ultimately what counts is whether you are comfortable with it or not. Experts say that the best cordless phone headsets are a total waste of the money if the design of the headset is not perfect, and you are not comfortable wearing it. For example, if you are concerned about messing up your hair, than rather than purchase a headband style headset, you might prefer an over the ear model. Microphones can be options to consider as well. Some microphones are spongy and can affect your peripheral vision, where as boom mikes are cushion-free. It is important that you try on any cordless phone headset that you buy to make sure you can adjust it to fit you perfectly. The microphone should be easy to adjust, and you should be able to hear your caller without any difficulty. Likewise the person you are speaking with should be able to hear you. You can set volume controls, so make sure that you test that as well. One of the latest models available is the plug-and-play, Plantronics Voyager - 510-USB Bluetooth Headset System. Ideal for home or office is offers multipoint technology that allow you to switch from Bluetooth enabled soft phones and mobile phones. You will also be notified of any incoming calls via the headset. It has a noise-canceling microphone and you can roam up to 33 feet away from your Bluetooth device. It also offers about 6 hours of talk time. Laser Hair Removal Cost and Considerations

By Chonticha Marijne So, you're tired of shaving and waxing and ready to explore alternatives ways to save time. Laser hair removal cost and additional considerations are the next step. People choose to remove their hair for a variety of reasons, and sometimes, those reasons are medically based. Still, most people opt for hair removal for cosmetic reasons. Laser hair removal cost, and some other issues, should be carefully weighed before making any decision. Laser hair removal cost can be determined by what method you choose. Laser hair removal is done through electrolysis, but there are three different methods of such, and the laser hair removal cost of each one is based on those considerations. Each method targets and damages hair follicles. Galvanic electrolysis employs a direct current of electricity that is passed down through the needle and into the hair follicle. Thermolysis uses a high frequency that alternates current passed through the needle to the hair follicle. The blend method uses a combination of the galvanic and thermolysis methods. Laser hair removal cost is also determined by which method is used. All laser hair removal methods consist of an invisible layer of light that is able to penetrate the surface layers of skin without damaging. Heat from the laser damages only the follicle and hair, preventing its ability to re grow. When weighing laser hair removal cost and safety, keep in mind that laser hair removal requires multiple sessions, and that repeated visits must continue. In time, hair grows back thinner, to lesser degrees. In the beginning, one may generally have another treatment within 4-6 weeks. Gradually, this time frame will increase. Laser hair removal cost is high, but for some, it's worth it. When considering laser hair removal cost, be advised that results often depend on the skill and experience of the professional doing the procedure. While many people don't feel pain during the procedure, it all depends on a person's pain threshold. Bear in mind also that laser hair removal cost might be exacerbated by the need to treat side effects such as reddening and swelling of the area, though upon occasion, mild burning and scarring does occur. Secondary infections may occur, including impetigo or, in some cases, a reactivation of herpes simplex. Use good judgment when thinking about laser hair removal cost and other considerations. Laser hair removal cost can range from between $400-$500 per session. Be aware that most doctors advise that their patients schedule at least four sessions for satisfactory results. The procedure can take anywhere from one to two hours, depending on the size of the area being worked on and there is no need to avoid work or play after laser hair removal. Laser hair removal cost is also determined by the professional providing the service, so it's wise to shop around. However, laser hair removal cost should not be a deciding factor when making a decision, so remember the old adage, you get what you pay for. Is laser hair removal cost holding you back from taking that final step towards a hair free body? Find about more about laser hair removal cost at http://HairRemovalRevealed.com. Good Fats and Bad Fats; what is The Real Difference?

By Jim O'Neill For most of us, eating is one of the most satisfying things we do in our everyday lives. As a matter of fact, we have our favorite dishes, favorite drinks and favorite snack foods which only proves that eating is one of our favorite activities. There's really nothing wrong with that since food, a primary necessity of man, is the one responsible for making us healthy, fit and giving us energy to perform everyday tasks. But improper intake of food might do us more harm than good. Proper information about healthy eating should always be at hand so that certain illnesses can be prevented, and as for the case of obesity, it can be treated through fat burning and weight loss. A common misconception in the area of food and nutrition is that fat is always bad. But is it really? Fat is the body's major energy storage system. When the energy from the food we eat and drink can't be used by our body right away, the body turns it into fat for later use. The body uses fat from foods for energy, to cushion organs and bones, and to make hormones and regulate blood pressure. Some fat is also necessary to maintain healthy skin, hair and nails. Thus, one should not eradicate all fat from the diet. But, too much fat can lead to many health problems such as heart disease, obesity, diabetes and more. We can determine that not all fats are created equal and knowing the difference between the bad ones and the good ones will lead you to making healthier choices. There are the saturated fats - the unhealthy ones - and the unsaturated fats - the good and healthy ones. Let's review each and see just how different they really are. Saturated Fat: Unhealthy Ones Saturated fats, which are generally solid at room temperature, are the least healthy and tend to increase the level of cholesterol in our blood. They are also largely responsible for causing artery blockage which leads to eventual heart failure. Foods that contain saturated fat include butter, cheese, margarine, shortening, tropical oils such as coconut and palm oil and the fats in meat and poultry skin. Consumption of these oils and foods should be limited. Otherwise, they may bring serious health problems. Unsaturated Fat: Healthy Ones Unsaturated fats reduce blood cholesterol when they replace saturated fats in the diet. There are two types of unsaturated fat: monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat. Monounsaturated fats have been shown to raise the level of HDL (the 'good' cholesterol that protects against heart attacks) in the blood, so in moderation they can be part of a healthy diet. This is why they are known as the good fats. Olive, canola, and peanut oils are good sources of monounsaturated fats. All fats, even the good ones will still make you gain weight if too much is consumed. The key here is to keep all fats in moderation but try to make the majority of your fat intake come from the good ones whenever possible. No more than 20% of your daily calorie intake should be from fat of any kind, especially if you are trying to lose weight. Crystal Bouquets - Make Your Own In 11 Easy Steps

By Peta Fletcher Looking for a different type of bouquet to make? Have you considered making a crystal bouquet? These are easy to make, and look spectacular. You will find that crystal bouquets are very popular, particularly with "newage" people. At the moment beading is quite popular, so if you are looking for beads and crystals to add to your bouquets then just make your way to any beading store. You are bound to find everything you need to make you crystal bouquet just right! In this article I am going to show you how to make a small posy-shaped crystal bouquet, with agapanthus flowers through it. You will need... Crimping tool 3 Camellia's 100 crimps 7 Agapanthus flowers 50 Flat head pins(in gold or silver) 7 Camellia leaves 21 Large crystals all the same color or all different colors 7 Small reflective black crystals (With a mother-of-pearl like shine) 7 Clear small crystals 7 Purple small crystals 3 Teardrop medium reflective clear crystals 7 figure of eight bows Step 1: Wiring and Taping... Wire and tape all flowers and leaves. You can wire and tape the medium reflective clear crystals just like you would with flowers- just pass the wire through the holes at the bottom of the crystal, and then tape. Step 2: Crimping... Now attach all the remaining crystals to the flat head pins. Do this by passing the pin through the top of the crystal, and then placing a crimp onto the bottom of the wire. Use the crimping tool to squeeze the crimp onto the wire. Make sure the pin is held tight so that the crystal doesn't wobble around. Step 3: Wire and Tape the remaining crystals... Wire and tape all the remaining crystals. You do this by twisting the wire around the part of the pin that is sticking out the bottom of the crystal. Try and get as close to the crimp as possible so that the wire can't be seen. Step 4: Start adding the flowers to the crystal bouquet... Hold your camellia's in one hand, and fan them out slightly. Then place your agapanthus flowers around, and in between, the camellia's. Step 5: Add the crystals... Now we start to add the crystals to the bouquet. Begin with the large crystals first... Place three in the centre around the agapanthus. Sit the crystals up slightly higher than the flowers. This is important, as we want the crystals to be the main focus- after all, this is a crystal bouquet! Place a small piece of tape near the top of the bouquet to help stabilize the crystal bouquet. Then once again fan out the flowers. Step 6: Add more crystals... Add the next layer of crystals. Once again make sure they are sitting slightly above the flowers. Each time you add a layer of crystals place a small piece of tape near the top of the bouquet and then fan out the crystals. Step 7: Add the smaller crystals... Once all the large crystals are added, then start to add the small ones. Place the small purple crystals in the centre, tape them in place, and then fan them out. Step 8: Add the small black crystals... Add the small black reflective crystals next as in step seven. Leave one or two in the centre of the bouquet as they will help to add color. Repeat this until all the small crystals are added. Step 9: Add the teardrop crystals... Place the three medium-teardrop crystals in the centre of the bouquet, and fan them out slightly. Step 10: Add figure-of-eight bows... Place the 7 figure of eight bows around the outside of the bouquet to frame it. Then fill in the gaps with the camellia leaves. Step 11: Finish the crystal bouquet... The final step in making a crystal bouquet is to trim the wires, and then tape the handle. Thats it! You've made a beautiful crystal bouquet! You don't have to follow the above steps exactly for your crystal bouquet- consider them more of a guide. You may want to add other flowers, or different types of crystals to your bouquet. You may even want to make your crystal bouquet out of crystals ONLY, without any additional flowers. Just experiment a little, and I'm sure you'll make a really stunning crystal bouquet! Russian Ukrainian Mail Order Brides - 5 Tips About Lonely Russian Girls Dating and Relationships

By Mishael Mordinson Mail order brides do they still exist? You came to realizing the desire to try something new in your life, something that you have heard about but didnt dare to try, well let me answer some of the questions you might have. Of course I dont know exactly what you want to ask, so if you dont find the information that you need in this article, please feel free to contact me! Here we go! 1. What are those girls looking for? Well, most of Russian girls you see are looking for exactly the same thing as you are! They want to have a family, want to be happy, have kids and enjoy life. One thing they are interested right now, is a man from somewhere abroad. 2. Why such nice looking ladies cant find themselves a man in Ukraine or Russia? I must admit that there is fewer men then women in Ukraine, but this is just a part of the reason. Men here are so spoiled with the beauty of women, that they dont really value it a lot, so after couple of negative experiences with local men girls start to think that their soul mate does not have to live in the same city or even country. One more thing is that international and intercultural marriages have proved to be really strong. The difficulties that people must overcome makes their relationship better and there is always the process of learning about each other language, country and culture. 3. There is a girl who I like, what should I do? Just send her a letter or roses? How should I write the first letter? Congratulations! Its very important thing that you are about to do. As they say: There is just one chance to make the first impression, so you should carefully write the letter. What to mention in the first letter? Any general information of you that you would like to share with the lady. Such as your age, marital status, occupation, hobbies, favorite time spending and also express your interest to the personality of the lady. Try to make the letter as personal as possible. Asking questions will show her your interest in getting to know her, so ask questions! Concerning flowers and other gifts, girls love romantic men, you know that! Don't forget to attach your picture. 4. What if my correspondence will go very well and I decide to meet the Lady in person. What should I do? Do I need a visa to come to Ukraine? Going to Ukraine and meeting the girl(s) will be one of the most exciting expierences in your life. The Agency will ensure that your trip is well arranged and the meeting are scheduled in the convenient time. The initial meetings are usually not very long - 1,5 hour each. This way it's possible to meet all the ladies of interest within the few days and to concentrate on those ladies who you feel the most comfortable with. Meetings are one on one basis and take a place in some nice cafes or restaurants. You do not need a visa to enter Ukraine if you are a citizen of the USA. 5. If we decide to get married how do I bring her home? The process of bringing a lady in the country is different in all countries, but in the US it means applying for a K1 visa. The process of getting a visa takes from 6 to 9 months and requires lots of paperwork. But it's absolutely real to get a visa, be accurate with the documents and read carefully all the instructions. I hope I answered some of the questions you wanted to ask. As I said before, if you have more questions please go ahead and send them over to me! I will be happy to answer. Want Weight Loss? Beware Of The "Calorie Trap"

By Jim O'Connor Calories - two out of three American adults need to eat fewer. The rest struggle daily not to eat more. A calorie (or kilocalorie) is a measure of energy-producing potential. If we consistently eat more than we need, we gain body fat. If we eat less than we need, we lose fat, and weight loss occurs. The challenge arises when we fall into the "Calorie Trap." We are often tricked into our quest for energy balance (caloric intake = caloric expenditure.) People wonder why they wake up and their pants don't fit. Most frustratingly state they don't understand why; they haven't been eating poorly. Other puzzled individuals mutter, "I have been eating very little; how can I possibly gain weight," or "I eat very well," or "My clothes shrunk in the laundry." The "calorie trap" strikes again! People constantly underestimate the number of calories they take in by not being aware of how calorie dense particular foods really are, or what an appropriate serving size really is. This particular dilemma is leaving America heavier now than it was ten years ago. Stop thinking about carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, Atkins, or the South Beach Diet, and start becoming aware of the caloric content of the foods you are eating. The key to weight loss and avoiding the "calorie trap" is to educate yourself by reading labels and making intelligent food choices. Here are a few clear examples of how easily it is to fall into the "Calorie Trap." With a little education and label reading, you can avoid this trap, and make weight loss much easier. Which of the following has more calories per serving? 1. Average bowl of Grape Nuts or Frosted Flakes? 2. English muffin with jam or a dry bagel? 3. Five oz. of M&M's or five oz. of yogurt raisins? You will be surprised! Give it your best guess. An average bowl of Grape Nuts has 600 calories vs. an average bowl of Frosted Flakes at 220 calories. That morning dry bagel has 400 calories to the english muffin and jam's 170 calories. The M&M's have 675 calories, while the yogurt raisins also have 675 calories. Surprised? Hopefully this little exercise and article will get you thinking calories and weight loss in the correct way. Pay attention to what you are putting into your mouth, including the portion size. You will see a difference in your waistline! Start counting yourself to weight loss. Begin today! The most effective way to become aware of your food choices, portion size, and calories you consume is to start a food journal. The food journal will answer all these questions and provide clear insight into your eating habits, and patterns. ________________________________________________________ For a directory of information pertaining to weight loss, visit the following weight loss resource site. http://www.WeightLossAssistant.com For Bi-Weekly health, fitness, and weight loss tips, and strategies visit http://www.WellnessWord.com _________________________________________________________ *** Attention: Ezine Editors / Website Owners *** Feel free to reprint this article in its entirety in your ezine, Blog, Autoresponder, or on your website as long as the links, and resource box are not altered in any way. Blue Ribbon Barbeque - a Great Place to Eat

By John Gibb Are you a fan of barbeque? When was the last time that you visited a GOOD barbeque restaurant? Well, if those questions are of interest to you then I have something really interesting to talk to you about: the Blue Ribbon barbeque restaurant! Naturally, I wouldnt spend any time writing a review about a restaurant, even if I was very satisfied with it. Blue Ribbon however, is an exception to this rule. I am more than happy that I once took the descision to eat there. After that day, I visit it as many times as possible; sometimes, several times a week! The first thing that will strike you about this restaurant is that its very simple and clean. The ambience is really casual, I like it. If you are a maniac about what you eat Blue Ribbon has a great surprise for you, the kitchen is wide open so you can have a good look at what you are going to eat! I find this to be a great advantage over the other restaurants because I am always concerned about what goes down my stomach. Furthermore, the next time that you are going to hear about a restaurant where they cook/serve irresponsibly you will know that it hasnt happened to you. Regarding the food, its great and the variety is vast! Honestly, I havent eaten such a tasty barbeque food for years! They definitely have a very adept chef in there; Im sure about that, my stomach tells me! The prices are very good too; you will get great quantities of quality food for a very reasonable price. In fact, most of the times not only will your stomach be full but you will also get to take home enough left over to eat the next day. I really recommend visiting this restaurant. Its not just one or two things that make this restaurant so great. Everything that makes up this restaurant is so beautifully linked to the other aspects of it that you will never consider going to another barbeque place. Honestly, if you are a hard to persuade person then you should look for yourself; I guarantee that you would thank me and buy me a dinner if you ever had the chance to meet me there (and if I had a magic, little cloud above my head signing this is the guy who wrote that review! of course!)! Using the Best Skin Peel at Home

By David Maillie In the past, the best skin peel was only available from a dermatologist or salon. This is no longer true. You can now have the benefits of a medical grade facial peel in the comfort of your own home. The most effective peels on the market contain Tricholoracetic Acid (TCA). TCA is a non toxic chemical that has been used for over 30 years and is considered completely safe. It is one of the deeper peels, used to rejuvenate the skin and improve the condition of the skin. TCA peels successfully treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne, wrinkles, blotchy skin, blackheads, discoloration from sun exposure, age spots, acne scarring, excessive oil and dull complexion. The pores of your skin are unblocked, revealing clearer skin. Your complexion will be smoother with improved texture. Fine lines and wrinkles are softened after treatment. The skin is tightened for a younger appearance. Estheticians Choice is the best skin peel and is now available for home use. Before Treatment: Talk to your doctor if you are taking prescription medications. Accutane is one medication that should not be used after a peel. Talk to your doctor and stop taking the medication before having a peel. You should avoid using other exfoliation products in the week before you use a home TCA peel. Also, avoid tanning either outside or in a tanning bed. Directions for a Home Peel: Estheticians Choice can be used in two strengths. Use the product full strength for a deeper peel to improve bad acne, wrinkling or skin discoloration. The product can be diluted for a gentler, surface peeling. Follow the included directions for diluting the product. The peel can be used once a month for very damaged skin. Its important to wait at least four weeks between treatments to allow the skin time to heal completely. Apply the product with a cotton swab. The peel should be left on the skin for about two to four minutes. Rinse well with slightly cool water to remove the product. Dont rub or use a washcloth. Most people will feel a slight tingling sensation when it is applied. You should feel little or no discomfort after it is rinsed away. If you do experience slight irritation, apply icy water or ice to soothe the skin. Immediately after treatment, you will notice a slight red color to the skin, like mild sunburn. This fades in a day or so and the skin continues to peel for the next few days. Once peeled, clearer, firmer skin is revealed. Taking good care of your skin after the peel will result in better, faster healing. After the Peel: o Gently wash the skin with a very mild cleanser in the days after.
